Practices with the new components, Moway Camera Board and Moway Wifi Board

You can enjoy the practices with the new components of mOway, Moway Camera Board and Moway Wifi Board.

The purpose of the practice with Camera Board is that Moway goes straight forward with the camera activated, until it reaches an obstacle. Then, the robot rotates to avoid crashing against the obstacle and keep going straight. The camera images can be watched on PC, by means of MowayCam.

The purpose of the practice with Wifi Board is that the robot transmits and receives data through a wifi net, MowayNet. This net is created by Moway by means of Wifi Module, and it allows to connect to Moway with devices such as phones, tablets or PCs. Once connected to this net, the correct IP of Moway Web Server is entered on the web browser. Then the device will receive sensor values and will be able to control Moway movement.

VI EducaRed International Meeting point

The Telefonica Fundation presents the VI EducaRed International Meeting point 2011 under the slogan "Learning to sharer" in Madrid with the aim of strengthening relationships between teachers, leaders and networks 2.0.
This event will take place from 20th to 22th of October in an open space divided among different parts.
Moway will be in the "Corner of Robotics" with surprising and fun practices. There will be a display about Moway with the new components, Moway Camera Board and Moway Wifi Board. Our team will be there to inform you about the mOway robot.

mOway in parisian classrooms

The mOway robot has been selected as the educational tool for the final project of electronic technical High School by the Ministry of Education in France.

The Paris region has 45 centers and has chosen the mOway robot to Aladyn project with the aim of creating an educational practice in order to detect intrusion in homes. In this project, the robot serves as a mobile platform for researching in housing and confirm or not the intrusion.

The project has been chosen by a group of experienced teachers with a Supervisor Inspector from the Ministry of National Education in France (MEN), which has allowed mOway to establish itself as a valuable educational tool in the country.

Nowadays, 45 centers in the region of Paris are waiting for their mOway kits to start working with them and develop their final projects.

Moway as exhibitor in NJRC

The mOway robot took place in the Singapore National Junior Robotic (NJRC) with its exclusive distributor in Asia EP-TEC. This event is aimed at students at the age of 14 to 18. It took place on the 22nd of August to the 9th of September at the Singapore Science Centre. The NJRC revolves around a specific theme and around a challenge which has to be developed by the students.

Today, the Science Centre receives more than a milion visitors annually and is acclaimed as one of the top Science Centers in the world.
